A History of the World

I was part of the team that was involved in putting together the website for the A History of the World.

A partnership between the BBC and the British Museum that focuses on world history, involving collaborations between teams across the BBC, and schools, museums and audiences across the UK.

The project focuses on the things we have made, from flint to mobile phones.

Development work that I carried out were:
- Development and integration of Microsoft's Seadragon (deep zoom)
- Development of interactive map
- Development of video showcase
- Blog integration
- CSS and HTML work

Content production work that I carried out includes:
- Video processing for British Museum videos (Final Cut Pro)
- Population of Interactive Map data
- Deep zoom of all objects including those with annotations

Project management tasks carried out
- Dealing with external suppliers of content - Video/Imagery

As well as providing technical support to editorial lead and editors
